Isaiah: The Musical

This “Seriously-Fun Musical” from the words of the prophet ISAIAH portrays a group of children in conversation with the prophet.  He has agreed to come to earth on the eighth day of the week, which is called Newday, to help them write a musical.  They need his help because they found his words difficult to understand.  They wanted to use his words because they discovered the words to their favorite song, “SING UNTO THE LORD,” were written by Isaiah…

And they want to keep on singing!

Here is a pdf version of the script and music. Isaiah

  1. I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this comment, but I was in Sister Lawler’s ward in Augusta, Maine, in the early 80s. I remember putting on this play in our ward. The only song I remember from back then was “Maher-shalal-hash-baz”, but I’m guessing that if I went through the script I’d have other fond memories. I was obviously one of the kids in the play – I don’t remember which, or my part. But happy memories, and appreciation to Sister Lawler for this!
