Whirling lightly o’er the green round the pole you go,
pointing tow just so, braiding the maypole.
Dressed in dainty full pastel make you quite a sight,
matching streamers braiding the May Pole.
Whirling now we bow and turn,
to our partners we return,
up and over round about once again.
To our partner, then to all,
once again around the pole,
oh what fun we have on each May Day.
